Having already made notable waves as solo artists, Spanish-born Caballero chanced upon Belgian producer and rapper Jean Jass at a radio show in 2011. Citing East Coast rappers as key influences, the pair’s tracks highlight Brussel's take on women, drugs and the police in rap music.

Girls in Hawaii is a belgian indie pop band. Antoine and Lionel started to record their songs on their Dream Machine (an old 8 track-recorder). «We were friends an a bit bored. It is only half a decade ago that Romain Descamps (a Frenchman, bass) met Matthew Irons (an Englishman, guitar/vocals) in their Jazz school in Brussels. KAU trio. is an instrumental project based in Brussels consisting of André Breidlid (drums), Matteo Genovese (bass) & Jan Janzen (keys). Representing various European backgrounds, their coming-together is in the spirit of the city they grew up in.

KOWARI
KOWARI

KOWARI is the project of violinist Damien Chierici and pianist Louan Kempenaers. Already well known on the Belgian music scene, they first collaborated on a film soundtrack before deciding to found KOWARI together.

An instrumental project with electronic influences and a cinematic universe.

Based on their classical training in their compositions, they decided to call upon the electronic music producer Jean Vanesse from GreenHouse studio to finalise their first album - due for release on 6 May.

DJ/Producer LEFTO started in 1996. His father had to borrow money from the bank to buy two turntables to his son. And here he is. He learned his first scratches and mix techniques with AKRO of Starflam. LEFTO finished an album of remixes called “Out Of The Blue” for the prestigious jazz label BLUE NOTE in 2005 and dropped an ep of instrumental beats in the same period, a well-demanded record in Japan. Milk TV is a punk / pop / no wave trio started in Brussels late 2017 by Frenchman Matthieu Peyraud already involved as a bass player in the local oriental kraut sextet Phoenician Drive. It is the continuation of a previous trio Frances' Foes, based in Montréal that he had to abort to migrate back to Europe.

Belgium Booms will once again be present at this year's edition of Dour Festival to promote our national creations among foreign audiences and professionals, both representing each year a large proportion of the festival’s visitors.  We can connect you with Belgian music professionals and clarify the ins & outs of our remarkably distinctive music scene.

Each day, we will organize receptions (open to accredited professionals of the festival on presentation of their wristband) as well as networking moments between international delegates and managers of Belgian artists who are scheduled to play the festival. Dour Festival is a multi-genre music festival in the city of Dour, Belgium. With over 180,000 visitors spread over 5 days is Dour one of the biggest outdoor festival in the Benelux, after Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter.
